How we research

Good guidance starts with hands-on knowledge, not copied press releases. Our research combines direct testing — registering accounts, making test deposits with methods such as FPX, DuitNow and Touch 'n Go, exploring game lobbies and trialling withdrawals — with structured desk research into an operator's licensing, software providers, payment support and player feedback. We look at how a platform actually behaves for a Malaysian player, on mobile and desktop, rather than how it markets itself.

Sources we rely on

We prioritise primary and authoritative sources over second-hand claims:

• The operator's own live pages for terms, payments and game data.
• Official game providers for RTP and mechanics.
• Regulatory and consumer bodies such as Bank Negara Malaysia and the MCMC for the Malaysian context.
• Recognised responsible-gambling organisations such as BeGambleAware.
• Aggregated, real player feedback — weighed carefully, never taken at face value.

Our fact-checking process

Before anything is published, key claims — payment processing times, minimum deposits, bonus mechanics, provider names and licensing details — are checked against a reliable source. Where a detail cannot be independently confirmed, we either leave it out or clearly tell the reader to verify it directly with the operator. Figures that change often, such as promotion terms, are dated and flagged as subject to change. We would rather say "confirm this on the official site" than state something we are not sure of.

Review methodology & rating criteria

Our ratings are not plucked from the air. Each casino review scores a consistent set of criteria so that two reviews can be compared fairly. The core criteria are:

Where we give a score, we explain the reasoning. A weak area lowers the rating even for a platform we otherwise like — and we say why in plain words.

Update cadence

The online casino market moves quickly. We review our most important pages on a regular schedule and update sooner whenever terms, payment methods, promotions or game libraries change materially. Each major page shows a "Last updated" date so you can see how current the information is. If a page has not been reviewed recently, that date tells you honestly.

Corrections policy

We are human and the industry shifts, so errors can happen. When we learn that something is wrong, we fix it promptly and, for anything significant, note that the page has been corrected. If you spot an inaccuracy, please contact us — reader feedback is one of our best fact-checking tools, and we genuinely welcome it.

Independence from operators

We fund this free resource through affiliate partnerships, explained fully in our affiliate disclosure. That commercial model is kept strictly separate from editorial judgement: operators do not preview, approve or edit our reviews, and commission never buys a higher score. We are willing to rate a partner poorly or decline to recommend it. Our loyalty is to the reader, because a guide people cannot trust is worth nothing.
